Amber Gill has revealed that she is ‘still figuring out’ her sexuality as she pursues a romance with footballer girlfriend Jen Beattie.

The 2019 Love Island winner, 25, had been linked to the Arsenal star, 31, since they were seen on a date at Winter Wonderland in December.

On Valentine’s Day, Amber appeared to confirm they were dating, before the pair went social media official with the influencer and author adorably labelling Jen her ‘better half’.

In March, they finally made their red carpet debut at Radio 1’s Big Weekend Launch Party – and now Amber has opened up further about their relationship.

Confirming that things were going ‘very well’ between them in a new interview, Amber revealed that she was reluctant to put a label on her sexuality as she was asked about feeling curiosity in the past.

‘I’m still figuring that out – whether I did or I didn’t, I just know there was a certain point where I was like, “I want to pursue serious relationships with women,”’ she told OK! magazine.

The romance author added: ‘I’m still figuring it all out, so I might do some sort of TV or documentary around that, because I think it is important for someone to have a story of someone coming out late as well.’

She also admitted that she felt people weren’t expecting her to come out ‘coming from a show that I came from’, with it taking ‘a little while for people to get used to’.

When asked if settling down and having babies was in her future, Amber said that she wasn’t sure, but praised where she and Jen were now.

‘I’ve no idea. I still feel like I’m super young. I just enjoy what I do now – I’m having fun, I’m in a good relationship and that’s all I care about,’ she clarified.

Last August, the star came out with a tweet that referred to her ‘switching teams’, calling it ‘the best decision’ she had made in her life as she criticised the crop of boys on the 2022 Love Island series.

However, following the frenzied reaction online, Amber said in the aftermath that they had just been ‘light-hearted’ tweets and that she would discuss her sexuality when she ‘is ready’.

She also confirmed at the time that what she had tweeted was ‘true’ and that she ‘meant exactly what I said’.

Amber won Love Island with rugby union player Greg O’Shea, beating the bookies’ favourites Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague in the final.
