Tasha Ghouri<\/a> came very close to rubbing shoulders with the likes of Margot Robbie<\/a> and Ryan Gosling in the new Barbie film.<\/a><\/p>\n

The much-anticipated live-action movie about the lives of the Mattel dolls is due out later this year and has been directed by Little Women’s Greta Gerwig, 39.<\/p>\n

While plot details are being kept under wraps, although a trailer shows Barbie (Robbie) driving into the \u2018real world\u2019 <\/a>with her beau Ken (Gosling), the all-star cast has been revealed.<\/p>\n

Alongside the Babylon actress, 32, and Ryan, 42, the likes of (deep breath)\u00a0Nicola Coughlan<\/a>,\u00a0John Cena<\/a>, Ncuti Gatwa, Helen Mirren and Will Ferrell have roles.<\/p>\n

And if it wasn’t for a certain pesky ITV dating series, there could have been one other name added to the cast.<\/p>\n

Tasha, 23, who made history as Love Island’s first-ever deaf contestant<\/a>, auditioned for a part as a dancer in Barbie but was unable to continue with the process.<\/p>\n

The model instead had committed to last year’s Love Island and revealed her time in the villa clashed with the filming of Barbie.<\/p>\n

She wrote on Twitter: ‘Fun fact I got to the final round of the Barbie film audition as a dancer but didn’t get the job – filming was at same time as LI [Love Island], crazy how the universe works.’<\/p>\n

But her Love Island stint was in vein as Tasha and current boyfriend reached the finals <\/a>and came in fourth place, with Ekin-Su Culculoglu and\u00a0Davide Sancliment<\/a><\/strong> ultimately crowned winner.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week it was revealed that Dua Lipa, who will also star as a Mermaid Barbie, will be penning the theme tune for the film<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Other casting includes Ana Cruz Kayne as Supreme Court Justice Barbie, The Crown\u2019s Emerald Fennell as Midge, Barbie\u2019s best friend, and Scott Evans as a cowboy hat-wearing Ken.<\/p>\n

Michael Cera will appear as Ken\u2019s friend Allan, Issa Rae will play President Barbie and\u00a0Sex Education\u00a0<\/a>star Emma Mackey will portray a Barbie with a Nobel Prize in physics.<\/p>\n
